The recruitment against sports quota vacancies in Central Government offices is done in accordance with the instructions of the Department of Personnel & Training dated 03.10.2013, 18.11.2022 and 04.03.2024. Under these instructions, reservation upto 5% of direct recruit vacancies in Group ‘C’ and erstwhile Group ‘D’ are reserved for meritorious sportsperson. Besides, Sports Authority of India recruits Olympians/Paralympians as Assistant Coach i.e entry level grade of Caches. 5% of posts at entry level cadre is reserved for olympians and 1% for Paralympians. Advertisements for all such vacancies under sports quota are published in the Employment News and other leading newspapers from time-to-time.
