Maulana Abul kalam Azad (MAKA) Trophy, instituted as a Rolling Trophy in 1956-57, aimed at promoting competitive sports in colleges/universities. The MAKA Trophy (as amended in 2024), with a cash award of ₹15 lakh, is given to the winner of Khelo India₹ University Games. The second and third-ranked in Khelo India University Games receive ₹7.5 lakh and ₹4.5 lakh, respectively. List of Universities are attached.
