National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL) is an Autonomous Organization under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports mandated for dope testing of sports persons. NDTL is a World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) accredited laboratory as also accredited for ISO/IEC 17025 by National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) for Chemical and Biological testing.
Besides human dope testing, NDTL is also engaged in horse dope testing with accreditation from the Association of Officials Racing Chemists (AORC). NDTL is equipped with highly sophisticated equipment’s required for human and horse dope testing.
At present, it is one of the thirty one (31) WADA accredited Laboratories in the World. It abides by WADA guidelines and is subjected to periodical WADA assessment/review.
In its efforts to move towards excellence, NDTL updates its equipment and enhances the skill of the analytical personnel. The NDTL scientists are untiringly working on research and development of new analytical methods. NDTL shares its expertise with a number of countries and extends dope testing services for over a dozen countries in Asia and beyond.
