I am happy to take over the charge as Minister of State (I/C). I am aware of the responsibility that this casts upon me. I am taking this responsibility with the resolve to complete the unfinished agenda and take new initiatives for the benefit of the youth. I look forward to your co-operation and support in the endeavours of this Ministry.

MESSAGE FROM SECRETARY

The Government recognises youth as the single most important segment of the population in the context of future socio-economic development and growth.  Several important schemes and programmes have been launched for the benefit of the youth in the country during the last 5 years.  The Government will continue to focus on the youth related issues with a greater sense of urgency and try to fulfill their aspirations.
